6 News is learning more after state police say a high-speed chase in Indiana County ended with the suspect being shot and killed. Channel 6 spoke with a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper who gave as much information as he says he could as this shooting remains under investigation. “We have an ongoing investigation right now,” said Trooper Clifford Greenfield, a PIO with Pennsylvania State Police. Trooper Greenfield spoke with Channel 6 on the deadly incident that occurred late Sunday evening in Indiana County.

Strickland made a 12-minute statement, saying he was not guilty of sexually abusing teenagers and paying them to engage in sexual acts with his wife.

BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WJAC) — Just in time for back-to-school shopping, one Centre County store is looking to help people with financial struggles. The Faith Centre in Bellefonte is offering free clothes through an event going on right now. Food insecurity soars in local counties, hitting record levels, report finds

Feeding America’s latest Map the Meal Gap report shows local data for food insecurity. This year’s report says that insecurity levels in Cambria and Somerset counties are worse than ever. Officials from the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank are saying food insecurity rates went up during the pandemic and never came back down. Now, they say one in eight people in the eleven counties they serve suffer from food insecurity. In African American communities, that number increases to one out of every three people.

The report by 24/7 Wall Street was based on population figures from the U.S. Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program. According to the figures, between 2010 and 2017 the city lost 7,070 people due to migration, a 7.4% decrease. The numbers also show there have been more deaths (13,203) than births (9,624) in that time period.

Man fails first bank robbery, succeeds in second attempt

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WPEC) — A man tried robbing two banks in the span of mere hours in Seminole County, failing at the first attempt, succeeding in his second then was arrested later the same day. The suspect, 35-year-old Duwane Edward Gilmore of Leesburg, surprisingly has two other bank robbery arrests from 2014 and is now held with no bond for the Wednesday incidents. Around 1:15 p.m., Seminole County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) deputies responded to calls of an attempted robbery at a SeaCoast Bank in Altamonte Springs.
