Upper Yoder Twp. woman dies after falling, drowning in hot tub, coroner says
Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Cambria County say an Upper Yoder Township woman died Tuesday after drowning in her hot tub.
Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees identified the woman as 71-year-old Kate Blake.
Lees says Blake was reportedly found face down in the hot tub at her home along Menoher Blvd., and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say Blake reportedly fell into the hot tub and drowned.

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Friday marked the 10th anniversary of the arrest of Jerry Sandusky which began a chain reaction of events that included head coach Joe Paterno being fired, and three university administrators being arrested.
The former Penn State football defensive coordinator was convicted eight months later, in 2012, in Centre County court, on more than 40 counts of child sexual assault.
He was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
Altoona house fire that displaced 8 ruled accidental
ALTOONA – A fire on Tuesday afternoon damaged three houses in the 300 block of Spruce Avenue in Altoona.
Two adults and six children were displaced, according to Altoona Fire Chief Tim Hileman.
The fire, which broke out just before 4 p.m., was under control in 45 minutes.
Hileman said the fire has been ruled accidental and started in the attic from a light fixture.

Altoona man faces multiple felony charges for alleged rape of unconscious woman
Authorities say a 42-year-old Altoona man has been charged with allegedly raping a woman at her home in March.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, the woman told authorities that she was at the Kettle Inn Bar and Grill in Altoona, on March 18, when Robert German, and another man, joined her and her friends.
The woman told police that she remembered buying a round of drinks for the group and started to sense that something was off with the encounter, according to the affidavit.
Coroner IDs passenger killed when car collided with deer in Clearfield County
CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Clearfield County coroner Kim Shaffer-Snyder has identified the passenger of a Pontiac Grand Prix who was killed early Friday morning when a car collided with a deer in Union Township.
Investigators say the crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. Friday as the driver of the Pontiac, a 28-year-old Luthersburg man, was traveling eastbound on Rockton Mountain Highway. Police say a deer reportedly entered the roadway and was struck by the car.
Hollidaysburg volunteer firefighter faces felony charges for sexual contact with minors
A member of the Geeseytown Volunteer Fire Company is facing multiple felonies after repeatedly having sexual contact with an underage female, state police said.
According to a criminal complaint, on May 16, another member of the fire company and his wife, along with a juvenile female, came forward to state police to report concerning behavior between a male member of their fire company and the underage girl.

Somerset man busted with drugs, guns following traffic stop, DA says
Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — According to acting Somerset County District Attorney Molly Metzgar, a Somerset man is behind bars following a late night traffic stop by state police.
Officials say Connor Christner, 25, was reportedly found with heroin, cocaine, MDMA and multiple firearms late Wednesday night.
Authorities say troopers conducted a traffic stop of Christner's vehicle after it appeared that he was impaired.
Investigators say police discovered a needle inside the vehicle, which prompted a search.
Huntingdon Co. man accused of inappropriately touching sleeping family member
Huntingdon Co., PA (WJAC) — State police say a Huntingdon County man is behind bars after he was accused of inappropriately touching a family member while she slept.
According to the affidavit, troopers were contacted on Monday after the man's social worker reported the alleged incident.
Police say the victim claimed that she woke up Sunday night and discovered that 50-year-old Rod Hardy was allegedly molesting her in her sleep.
